Re: IP Pegasi in outburst
Dear Keith,
I hope that this e-mail address is correct as it was taken from
the RGO directory issued here in the UK some time back.
I am glad we were able to give you very early telephone advice of
the outburst of IP Peg thanks to excellent observational work by
Gary Poyner of Birmingham who was grappling with a near full
moon at the time.
I stayed up until midnight on Dec 10 using e-mail to secure
other results.
We later obtained independent confirmation and all the results
follow:
1992 Dec 5.841UT [13.8 and not seen (Poyner, UK)
8.720 [13.8 and not seen (Poyner)
10.718 13.3v (Poyner)
10.729 13.3v (Poyner)
10.768 13.3v (Poyner)
10.793 13.3v (Poyner)
11.387 13.3v: (Kato, Japan)
11.50 13.0V (McNaught, Australia)
Can we be of assistance with any other stars you wish monitored?
Kind regards,
Guy M Hurst
