[vsnet-grb 46] Re: GRB 010119 observation from Nyrola

Dear Arto, Marko and all,

I have examined your image with DSS2R, and found a dim (rmag about
19.5:) star on DSS image at the position you have pointed. So, it is
a real object but not the optical counterpart of GRB 010119. The
rough coordinates of this star are R.A. = 18h53m52s.70, Decl. =
12o04'01".2, which is well outside of the error box of the IPN
triangulation.

You may post your negative result to GCN because no other observation
with this depth (limitting mag about 19.5) within 2 days after this
burst has not been reported yet.

Sincerely Yours,
