A difference of 0.09 between these two sources is not very large. There are "p" magnitudes and "p" magnitudes! Not all magnitudes labeled as "p" magnitudes were measured with the same emulsion and there are certainly zero-point differences between them. Photographic mmagnitudes may have better errors in their mean values than visual magnitudes, but they also have zero-point and scale-difference propblems. Best, Thom
