Hi, Bish and all:

BUT the brightening I reported started on May 2001, (when the star was at
5.5) just after the last HST/STIS observation, so we can't tell for sure
from this data if the star itself is not getting brighter...
In two months the overall brightness has grown more than 0.3 magnitudes.
Anyway is very important to note the difference between star and nebula's
behaviour.
I think new measurements are crucial.

Thanks Bish for the correction about the SDOR phase. My question is : has
eta shown SDOR beahviour in the past which makes it worth deserving that
SDOR classification in the GCVS?
I think eta Car is a unique object. For instance if the last 2000 event
wasn't an SDOR phase, how could we re-classify the star? Maybe an ECAR
type....

Regards,
Sebastian.
