Dear Mr.Puskas Ferenc, This is Nagai. The eclipsing binary system 31 Cygni(K4Ib+B4V) is a member of the zeta Auriage class of binaries, in which a late-type supergiant has a hot main-sequence companion. 31 Cygni is an eclipsing binary consisting of a K4 supergiant and a B4 dwarf. Every 10 years the supergiant totally eclipse the B star for about 60 days. As the smaller main-sequence star passes behind the extended atmosphere of the coll primary, its orbital motion provides a unique probe of the structure of the K-star atmo sphere. The 31 CYG next minima start 2003 05 30.5. This EB star is an extrem-long period EB-star: 10.4 years! 31CYG becomes bottom in the beginning of July. GCVS : V695 Cyg 3.73-3.89 min = 2441470.0 + 3784.3 x E
