Hi everyone,

though a heroic effort, our 1.5m observer at Cerro Tololo, Sergio Gonzalez,
obtained several spectra of the LMC variable this morning in the blue spectral
region.  The star shows very broad, blue-shifted Balmer emission lines, so there
is little doubt that it is a classical nova.
