(fwd) Position of Liller's nova suspect in SMC

I note that Bill Liller's nova suspect in the SMC is virtually coincident
with a USNO-A2.0 star (r=16.2, b=17.7, V= 16.8) at 0h56m30.26s -726'29.4".
This star is shown on Fig. 4 of the paper by J. Vigneau and M. Azzopardi
(1982), having two close companions to the SW.  These authors also provide a
UBVRI sequence ("Sequence II") for this field. The "nova" falls exactly on
the line between  their stars #1 and #7,  and 45.5mm from star 1.

A better position for the "nova" is essential to resolve this matter.
