[vsnet-const 1] New list: vsnet-const
New list: vsnet-const
Dear Colleagues,
We have set up a new list, vsnet-const, a sub-list of vsnet-chat.
The list vsnet-const deals with variable stars having CST (constant)
classifications [yes, constant variable stars ;-]. Recent studies have
shown a some part of such CST and candidates are actually variables.
Discussions on such objects, and clarification of the "constant"
classification in individual objects or how such objects were once
considered as variable, are proposed main topics of this list.
One should remind that the famous dwarf nova T Leo was classifed as CST:
because of the lack of apparent variability.
Important notifications (such as discovery of dramatic variability :-),
important progress, call for urgent observations etc.) should be also
directed to vsnet-alert as before. Individual (regular) observations
should be sent to vsnet-obs as before.
The initial list of vsnet-const includes members of vsnet-chat.
If one wish to subscribe or unsubscribe to vsnet-const, please send
a message to vsnet-adm, with a text line
SUBSCRIBE vsnet-const your e-mail address or
UNSUBSCRIBE vsnet-const your e-mail address
Please feel free to distribute this message to interested parties
or persons who may be interested in this field of variable stars.
