I am a graduate student at the University of
Arkansas in the Physics Department. I am currently
doing research on Extrasolar Planets and I need help
in figuring out how to interpret light curves (I've
not had enough statistics to know how). Do you know
where I can get help?
I speak a little Japanese, but not enough to
effectively communicate.
Sincerely,
Sammy Grimes
Sammy:
What exactly is your question?
A couple of good books on the subject are:
1. A Practical Guide to Lightcurve Photometry and Analysis by Brian D. Warner, 2003.
2. Light Curves of Variable Stars : a pictorial atlas by C. Sterken and C. Jaschek, 1996.
These books should help you get started.

Doug West
