[vsnet-chat 6845] Classical Galactic Novae

Hi,

a bit off-topic perhaps... but somehow related

I would like to extend my CCD observing list of faint targets with recorded 'old' novae which are now suspected not to be classical novae.

In the mid 90s I monitored a number of them down to a meagre 12th magnitude.

Some of those false 'classical' novae have shown up as Mira stars (several examples since that time), some might be ugwz stars (or 'TOADS'). What I am most interested in are the recurrent Novae with IM Nor as a good example.

Unfortunately I must restrict the list to targets South of +10degrees.

Can someone help here with directions...

Possible targets:

DY PUP
HS PUP
HZ PUP
CQ VEL
AP CRU
MT CEN
V341 NOR
V1172 SGR
V4338 SGR

please add or scrap..

Regards,
