recent unsubscription requests and worms We have recently received several unsubscription requests, some of which refer to nonexistent lists or subscriptions. Further examination has revealed that a significant fraction of these requests refers to spoofed messages or resultant error messages (e.g. using some of the VSNET list address as the sender or recipient) by the recent worm Sobig.F. These spoofed messages will not be removed by a simple unsubscription by the VSNET admin. We encourage readers to check the mail header (and naturally virus protection at your own computer) before making an action (such as UNSUB all) to the VSNET admin. And please remind your friends to update the virus protection when your receive similar spoofed messages. Regards, Taichi Kato VSNET admin
