My recollection is a bit hazy on whether or not V4641 is the same star as GM Sgr. I recall some discussion on if these were 2 different variable stars and Luyten's object was being confused with GM Sgr, or if these are the same star being referred to by 2 names. GM Sgr is plotted on my planetarium program about 1 arc min South of the position of V4641.
