Also given as type A3 by Kostyakova in 1969AbaOB..38...19K.
Given the modest B-V color as explained by John Greaves, but also
the apparently very large 2MASS J-K of 1.6, suggesting instead a
very red star, it looks to me as though this must be some sort of
pre-main-sequence object with a large IR excess.
I note also (in case it hasn't been already), that the TASS MkIII
catalogue shows V = 11.6 +/- 0.4 (presumably from the variability),
and V-I = 1.0 (+/- 0.4, presumably for the same reason).
Also, the IRAS 12- and 25-micron fluxes are similar, suggesting
some sort of warm cloud around the star (no detections at 60 or 100-microns).
