   This is not the case.  The present problem is that PIXY has no way to
avoid reporting unresolved components of close double stars.  These stars
appear single on most catalogs, such as USNO or GSC, and will not be
flagged as blended.  You can easily imagine a situation that PIXY always
reports -1.x mag for Sirius B, when Sirius B is incoporated into a variable
star catalog.
