Literally don't report your observations with "R". These observations
are "unfiltered CCD observations" whose zero-point is adjusted to R system.
(Suppose you have a good estimate of B-V for a certain star. With such
information, one can reasonably estimate B magnitudes from V-band
observations only. But it is not an approved practice to report B
observations estimated from V band observations. The situation is same
for unfiltered CCD observations).
As a reminder, preferably use the code "Rc" instead of less informative
"R", when the observations are done with Kron-Cousins R system. This is
to avoid a confusion with Johnson R system.
