The NSV entry is based on IAU Circular 2001
(http://cfa-www.harvard.edu/iauc/02000/02001.html), reporting the star
(BD +26 870)at mag 3.5 on two plates taken from Wurzburg on January 29
and 31, 1967, while it is normal on February 5.
IAU Circular 2002 (http://cfa-www.harvard.edu/iauc/02000/02002.html)
however reports that the star was also normal on a plate taken January
30 at Harvard.
Variability may be doubted.
