Miroslav,
Then it is very important to make a follow up of this event. It has no
precedent and for a K2 giant it might mean there is a companion or something
more complex.
I am sorry I am also suffering from several days of bad weather so I am
still not able to observe it.
What's the magnitude you observed?
A 1.5 mag. brightening implies a 4.7 mag. which is a whole lot brighter!
