While making an observation of UZ SER on Oct 27, I noticed some peculiar
activity in this nearby star. It is near the 131 comp on the AAVSO 'e'
chart and it is labelled there as "var?" It also has a GSC2.2 designation
of S300131217761, but it doesnt appear in the GCVS, nor is there anything
peculiar about it mentioned in these catalogs.
I observed it for about 20 minutes, between Oct 27 0628UT and 0650UT, and
noticed it appeared to vary between about mag 14.2 and 14.6 on a very
short time scale of a few seconds. This behavior reminded me of the rapid variation I observed in V4641 SGR
earlier this year.
Can anyone shed some light on this star, or have/will make any followup
observations?
Thanks for your attention,
Mike Linnolt (LMK)
