Thanks Michael. Yes, I'm tempted to put on a V filter, but the primary
aim
of the survey is to find comets and novae, so I'm straining for every
last
photon.
The mag range is reported as R mags. If you follow the "Explanatory
Notes"
link, it explains how I derived them, but in essence I find every Tycho
star on each image, calculate R from Vt and Bt, and then calculate the
relation between R mag and Instrumental. All this assumes my CCD's
response is similar to R. I'm the first one to admit this is only
approximate, but what I'm hoping is that others will do some follow-up
using the data I've provided. I'm just trying the make the case that
these
stars are worthy of some follow-up observations.
