[vsnet-chat 5561] V 4742 Sgr

Whilst measuring this field I noticed a very red star GSC 6846 6. Is this a known variable - my catalogue is a bit dated? It looks like a rather red Mira star near maximum. Some measures:

2002 Oct 10         0804UT    V = 11.16    V-R = 1.96
 
Assorted Cape standard stars from E7 and E8 regions. Accuracy +/- 0.03
