[vsnet-chat 5519] Re: J, H and K photometry is needed



     At present only about 50 percent of the sky is covered by the
publicly-available 2MASS data.  The complete/final products are going
to be released "any day now", so perhaps by the end of the year the
photometry catalogues and images will be available.
     The coordinates you give appear to correspond to a pair late-type
stars with large proper motion found by Wroblewski & Costa 1999
(1999A&AS..139...25W ).  What will JHK photometry tell you that you
cannot determine from, say, just the V-I colors of the two stars?
