[vsnet-chat 5445] EK And

Dear colleagues,

EK And is a SRA type variable star with a range of 1.1 mag (V band)
and period of about six months.

  EK And  01h16m13s.50 +41o44'22".5  Mag(max):10.3  Mag(min):11.4  MagSystem:V  Type:SRA  Spectrum:M2  Epoch:19818  Period:185

However, no evident variation greater than 0.18 mag was found from the
MISAO Project unfiltered CCD observations on 12 nights during three
months between 2000 September and December (please see the recent post
to vsnet-obs).

Seeing the light curve on the VSNET page, it also seems to be constant
around 11.3 mag.

Seeting the color in the USNO-A2.0 data, it is not so reddish to be a
red variable.

The star may be constant.
