Subject: SN 2002dd
IAUC 7912 informed the discovery of a second apparent SN in the
Hubble Deep Field north (firt one was SN 2002dc) at m_AB = 24.00 +/-
0.12 on May 11.39. The spectrum of this object revealed that it is of
type Ia near maximum on May 11.52, whose redshift z = 1.06. At the
neighbourhood of SN, there is bright galaxy but its redshift of z =
0.79, thus it is unlikely the host galaxy.
Sincerely Yours,
Hitoshi Yamaoka, Kyushu Univ., Japan
