Hi Thorsten, I don't know about the dustring, but I noticed some kind of nebula (about one arcminute in diameter) around the star last night. This nebula I haven't noticed before, probably because the star was so bright and because it was the first time I used a high magnification to estimate V838 Mon. This nebula made it difficult to estimate the brightness of V8383 Mon last night. As the estimated diameter is so big, I don't think it has to with the 2002 outburst. Perhaps this nebula has to do with material lost earlier by this star, which is now iluminated by V838 Mon. Erwin van Ballegoij ballegoy@setarnet.aw Thorsten Lange wrote: > > Hello, > Is it over now?
