Hi,
recently a law about light pollution has passed through the
Parliament of the Czech Republic owing to great effort and
lobbing of astronomers. This should lower the sky brightness
in some years and make "safety zones" around at least some
observatories. Details at
http://vsnet.space.com/spacewatch/skies_czech_020318.html.
I hope our limiting magnitude at Brno CCD will be read-noise
dominated :-)
Best regards,
