In actuality, I use a star-mapping software which displays Hipparcos,
Tycho-2 magnitudes (V and B-V), and LONEOS magnitudes. I feel it quite
comfortable, even in the U Gem field, with all reliable magnitudes.
(If one needs to do so, we can also add labels on any stars).
This kind of computerization of available all-sky and selected photometry
would become a widely accpetable way of standardization.
