Although I am not aware of the every software version, Megastar is one
of the notorious inclusion of the GCVS. Please discard any variable star
identications by this program, and consult the GCVS and NSV at the original
ftp site. If positions are given only to 1' to some stars, the GCVS team
has not introduced firm identifications to these stars. You should avoid
reporting these stars unless you have additional evidence (source
literature etc.) about these stars.

   For example:

CQHya 20020214.887 m1 fainter then 13.5 p TSc
CQHya 20020214.880 m1 fainter then 13.5 p TSc

The correct identication of CQ Hya = GSC 215.724 (083745.1 +022123).
This identification is least likely to appear in popular softwares.
Since you reported on this object without any notice, I presume you
must have observed incorrectly identified stars equally in other
"fainter than" cases.

UVVHya 20020214.877 m1 fainter then 13.0 p TSc
UVVHya 20020214.880 m1 fainter then 13.0 p TSc

Does Megastar give the above variable star name (UVV Hya)? If this
is the case, you had better discard the software entirely.
