Joax, as in jokes?
Assuming not: although no detials are provided, this looks like another
possible case of unfiltered CCD photometry showing a moderately-red star
as much brighter than expected. GSC 0852-1012 is less red, so probably
didn't come up so much. Among other possibilities are bad photometry
of GSC 0852-0749 due to incorrect background 'sky' subtraction, which
includes a substantial amont of galaxy light.
In any case, it is incumbent upon 'mlacdc@ecenet.com' to show that
it is variable, not anyone else.
