***** Sequence for V2540 Ophiuchi *****
1731-15 V2540 OPHIUCHI (NOVA 2002)
RA = 17h37m34s.60, Decl. = -16o23'23".2 (2000.0) [D. West, IAUC 7808]
A list of bright comparison stars has been prepared for this nova.
The photometry (V and B-V) is from Tycho-1 catalogue (ESA, 1997) and
should be accurate to within ~0.05 mag. This sequence is primarily
intended for visual observers. I have only selected stars bluer than
B-V = +0.7 in order to minimize colour dependent differences between
visual and V magnitudes. In addition, the magnitude difference
between subsequent stars does not exceed 0.6 mag. The astrometry is
from the Hipparcos (ESA, 1997) and Tycho-2 catalogues (E. Hog et al.,
2000). Dist. is the offset from nova. All sequence stars are located
within a 3 deg. x 3 deg. box centered on V2540 Oph's position. The
last column gives the difference between the Tycho-2 VT and Tycho-1
V magnitudes.
