[vsnet-chat 5042] KV CMa eclipses

This info may be of interest for vsnet-chat readers.

KV CMa in a third eclipse confirmed (and possibly one secondary eclipse
too).
The star was caught on January 22.0, 0.25 mag. fainter than normal.
Eclipses for KV CMa seems to be rather long (in the order of a day or so)
and the period may be long too.

This message is in reply to Seiichiro Kiyota:

Dear Seiichiro:

V magnitude at maximum is recorded as 7.14-7.20 (some possible intrinsic
variability)
I also thought of a period of 171 days. Actually 171.45 d.
I will send a lightcurve to the vsnet-image list.
Note that with this period a secondary eclipse is well-placed at phase 0.47.
Anyway more observations are needed.

Cheers,
Sebastian.
