[vsnet-chat 5035] VSNet space problems

While I appreciate the space problems that VSNet has, 
that is no excuse for the way the list has been managed.

At this point observations, unless of high value, should 
be accessible on the web or via ftp only.

A user should be able to input his or her own requests 
to be entered or deleted from lists.  This kind of 
service is available from organizations as diverse as 
yahoo or the AAVSO.

VSNet's processes seem rooted in the old internet and 
should be changed.
