Of course I'm wrong to say that "the total luminosity increase" there.
"the total flux in a visual bandwidth increases" is more appropriate,
since by definition a LBV eruption would involve little or no change in
the total energy output (i.e., luminosity).
Anyway, I thought I correct myself before someone else does.
