(fwd) WZ Sge comp stars (Henden) New informtion on the WZ Sge sequence from A. Henden: --- I've placed on http://ftp.nofs.navy.mil/pub/outgoing/aah/sequence/wzsgea.dat a single-night BV photometry file of a field to the west of WZ Sge. The wzsge.bright.dat file covers the region from the variable to the east, in order to pick up the Krzeminski and Kraft comparison stars. However, the AAVSO "e" chart has an 115 star to the west, and there has been some private discussion as to the accuracy of that number. In particular, the AAVSO comp star appears in this new single-night file as: V B-V 11.513 0.397 and so matches the AAVSO value quite well (it is also relatively blue and so comes close to the color of WZ Sge). The other western AAVSO star that falls within this field of view is listed at 99; my values give V B-V 9.846 0.544 which is very close. Since I usually list single-night photometry as having a potential 0.02mag zeropoint error, whether you designate this star as 98 or 99 is your own decision.
