Please make an advise the same thing to the people who maintain the
on-line CV catalog by Downes et al. There should be no reason for such
an on-line catalog to curtail the names. Of course, the best thing for
us is to consistently use the permanent GCVS designations.
Some examples of "(likely) abbreviated names" from the on-line CV catalog
by Downes et al. (please let us know which is correct and which is wrong?)
