[vsnet-chat 4684] comparing stars

i am confused over comparing stars for variable stars, and also find some error in the AAVSO CHARTS not only in magnitude also in star type.
In a software i like to mark the comparing stars with a special design or symbol.

I use Cartes du Ciel as software, have try all the software in the market, the best software you can get.
And in this software i have possibility to mark the comparing stars in a special way.

And now to the question where can i find information about comparing stars for the GCVS Cat. stars.?

My goal is to add to a software or in a brand new software get this option  :

You are visual observing TW LYR you set the field view to 1 degree, click on button "v" and you get a red ring around the surrounding stars that you can use as comparing stars for visual observations of  TW LYR
