[vsnet-chat 4560] V1178 Sco photometry

Dear friends:
Jaime García has performed CCD photometry (with filters) of
V1178 Sco but he notes that the 117 comparison star is much brighter than
11.7 (maybe 11.2 as stated in Guide 7).
The star is GSC 7382 1115 and from the AAVSO chart we know that the
magnitude comes from USNO A 2.0. That explains the discrepance since we are
mixing Tycho 2 magnitudes with USNO non-calibrated ones.
Jaime is in Peru right now and that's why he is not able to post to the
lists so he asked me to tell you the coments above.
