Dear colleagues,
I found an interesting pair of stars with large proper motion, both
are also designated as variable stars.
The pair of LHS 3 and LHS 4 are also designated as variable stars
GQ And and GX And.
http://vsnet.aerith.net/tmp/proper_motion/2001-0046.gif
LHS 3 = GX And
001823 +440124 (2000.0) LHS3 7.9r M3 mu=2.899
GX AND R.A.=00 18 18.50 Decl.=+44 01 16.1 9.45 - 9.63 mag (B) type:UV Epoch= Period= Sp:M1Ve
LHS 4 = GQ And
001826 +440142 (2000.0) LHS4 10.3r M5E mu=2.899
GQ AND R.A.=00 18 21.46 Decl.=+44 01 32.8 12.2 - 12.8 mag (B) type:UV+BY: Epoch= Period= Sp:M6Ve
The measure positions from Nobuo Ohkura's images by the PIXY System 2
are:
LHS 3 = GX And 00h18m23s.03 +44o01'23".6
LHS 4 = GQ And 00h18m26s.05 +44o01'38".9
In this case, I wonder the position in the GCVS should be revised or
not. I wonder which position should be recorded in the GCVS.
Best regards,
