[vsnet-chat 4041] Delta Velorum primary eclipse observations

Dear all:
             Tonight we suffered from a whitish sky here in Buenos Aires.
Fog and mist made things difficult, but observations of delta Velorum's
primay eclipse were possible and some conclussions can be made:

--Minimum took place half an hour earlier than predicted.
--Minimum is deeper than previously observed, reaching almost V= 2.40.

This doesn't change our period but the epoch for min I that wasn't as
accurate as the epoch for the secondary eclipse (thanks to Galileo).

Min I  (V= 2.39 +-0.03) 2451940.73 + 45.1502 x E
Min II  (V= 2.20 +-0.01)  2451870.062 + 45.1502 x E

I think that all that can be done visually has already been done.
Time for PEP and spectroscopic studies...
