Dear all,
during preparation of MEKA 2001 (MEduza KAtalog 2001) I have
also analyzed MEDUZA data on V Boo. All of you probably know
that this star is transitting between Mira and SRa stage.
When I performed a simple DFT on data to find a period, I
freezed up: the Fourier spectrum showed two clearly evident
periods with values 258 days (same as GCVS and Kiss et al.)
and also 131 days. Quick look at averaged lightcurve showed
that these is caused by well pronounced hump on ascending
branch, which recently developed into double maximum. If it
would not be V Boo, I would bet it has two periods. However,
this would put V Boo into SRb class of variables. For
everyone who is interested I've posted averaged lightcurve,
fourier spectrum and phased lightcurves to:
http://vsnet.volny.cz/opejcha/vboo/vboo.htm
Please, write your opinion on it here or directly to me.
Best regards,
Ondrej Pejcha
