NSV 12041 is noted on page 728 of Bidelman and MacConnell, AJ, 78, 687
(1973) where it is included as part of Table VIII "Mira Type Variables"
[access via NASA ADS at adsabs.harvard.edu]
The co-ordinates given are for epoch&equinox 1900 and are :
19h 22.0m -21d 48'
which could just as easily be the position of the nearby bright star BD -21
5395 for 1900.
HOWEVER, a remark file states that the Mira type star is 0.04 Min WEST of
BD -21 5395
0.04 Min of RA is 0.6 arcminutes.
2MASS 1927535-213552 is 35.5 arcsecs from BD -21 5395 in a PA of 253 degrees
Or put another way, it is roughly 0.6 arcmins West of BD -21 5395.
In this light Hitoshi Yamaoka's identification of "Scarmato's" star with
NSV 12041 seems very sound!
Cheers
