[vsnet-chat 3521] homepage update

Dear all,

We have updated the charts section of our homepage at
http://vsnet.shopplaza.nl/astro/

-New 15x15' chart of MV Lyr.
As has been pointed out by Steve O'Connor there are a couple of 16th
magnitude near the variable that may confuse visual observers when MV is
faint. This chart should make correct identification unambiguous. We
used a Henden&Honeycutt sequence, down to magnitude 15.6, which is very
similar to the AAVSO-sequence, and added visual estimates by Steve
O'Connor down to magnitude 16.6. It should be noted that our faintest
star (16.6) is identical to the AAVSO 16.0. This star is very likely
mislabeled on the AAVSO chart (there is a ~16.0 SE of 166 and W of 151),
which also would have caused additional confusion/misidentification...
-New charts (25x25 and 15x15') of ES Aquilae, the suspected RCB star
that Peter Williams mentioned [vsnet-obs 28811]. Comparison stars are
selected from Henden's photometry.
-New charts (90x90' down to magnitude 13, 24x24 and 15x15' down to
magnitude 17.5) for V1494 Aquilae (Nova Aquilae 1999#2). We used the
comparison stars selected by Sumner [vsnet-sequence 20] from Henden's
photometry.

-For those of you also interested in comets: we have charts with
comparison stars (mainly from Tycho-1) for bright comets C/1999 S4
(LINEAR) (until September 1) and 2P/Encke (until August 14). Charts
covering C/1999 T1 (McNaught-Hartley) from September 1 are in
preparation, and will be available soon.

We hope you find something that is useful to you...
Best regards,
              Reinder Bouma/Edwin van Dijk
