One of clear astrometric problems during nova eruptions can be found
in V1974 Cyg, a well-known nova of the Century, a transient supersoft
X-ray source, and a permanent superhumper.
The accurate astrometry published at the outburst epoch was later
found to be inconsistent with radio interferometric astrometry. This
correction drastically changed the progenitor candidate and the estimated
outburst amplitude. Dr. Retter's paper is partly based on this finding.
