[vsnet-chat 3434] re new maillists

Before the proliferation of the new maillists, everything they currently
contain would have been posted to either vsnet-chat or vsnet maillists.

In those instances the choice people would have would be to stay
subscribed to vsnet-chat, or not, with the chance of missing things if
they did unsubscribe.

Now, it seems, with the present parcelling of matters, that as long as
unnecessary multiple posting is avoided, people can pick and choose what
they want to hear about.

If it was still just vsnet-chat, you'd be getting all the other stuff
anyway, most likely [?], without any choice.

I think that is what all this new maillist stuff is about... ...but I'm
guessing.
