HadV62 [http://vsnet.kusastro.kyoto-u.ac.jp/vsnet/Mail/vsnet-newvar/msg00493.html] lies just south of 80 arcsecs east of the 8.0 mag star HD 170768 = GSC 6865 00498. It looks as though HadV62 can achieve mag 11.5 at least at its best, which is brighter than the other stars in the very immediate area. HD 170768 itself lies just south of 32 armins due _west_ of V4077 Sgr = Nova SGR 1982, which apparently achieved about mag 8. It's a bit of a wide field, but somebody may just have a photo of N SGR 82 from about that time lurking in their archives that shows HD 170768 too, and if the latter is not too overexposed, HadV62 may be lurking too... ...and then again, it may not! Cheers John
