ROSAT identifications of Sgr variable stars
I have finished (not complete!) survey of ROSAT identifications of
4000+ Sgr variable stars (by eye...). The result has been surprizing.
The number of Sgr variable stars identified with ROSAT sources is remarkably
small compared to other non-milky way fields. This may either suggest
the soft X-ray is very efficiently absorbed, or there are many nearby
overlooked X-ray emitting variable stars (like CVs).
However, the OGLE BW fields were almost impossible to make secure
identifications. I skipped these fields.
