Subject: Blue object near RX Com in USNO-A2.0
Just on a hunch I searched a 3' radius in A2.0 from the nominal
position. About 1'.5 away is a blue object (star?) at:
12 59 04.17 +15 12 15.3 (2000). The A2.0 mb=17.4 and mr=17.6, so
b-r = -0.2. I have obtained 2'x2' cutouts from the USNO-Flagstaff server:

jpg file: http://vsnet.nofs.navy.mil/tmp/fchaajDua_sn0646.000.jpg
The object seems stellar on the O and J plates, and definitely bright on
these blue plates, but is possibly nonstellar on the red and far-red images
(which are somewhat less sharp naturally). If a star, it would not be so
unusual to find an ordinary white dwarf, so perhaps this is only a
"candidate" at best.
