[vsnet-chat 3126] RX Com

RX Com

This star was earlier suspected as a possible dwarf nova. According
to the GCVS, the object is classified as a Mira star (13.3-<17.8p) with
a period of 211.11 d. I have noticed a faint ROSAT source slightly off
the position.

   RX Com:

125859.7 +151121 (2000.0) COMRX M 13.3 <17.8 P 36776 211.11

   ROSAT source:

125854.0 +151250 (2000.0) 1RXS-F_J125854.0+151251 0.019 0.58 0.08

The positional difference looks a little large, but would be an acceptable
coincidence considering the low X-ray count rate. No observations of RX Com
have been reported to VSNET. Won't someone try to confirm the Mira nature?

Regards,
Taichi Kato
