Kato suggested Draco C-1. Note that this symbiotic is included in the first Henden et al. symbiotic sequence paper (A&AS 143, 343, 2000), so there is a nice UBVRI sequence available. The field photometry on http://ftp.nofs.navy.mil/pub/outgoing/aah/munari/dracoc1.dat is interesting, as you can see part of the Draco galaxy if you plot (B-V) vs V (that is, a color-magnitude or H-R diagram). My biggest concern is coordinates and identification of extragalactic variables. Even if the catalog lists accurate coordinates, the field is often so crowded that positive identification is difficult. This is especially true with HST variables or those found through difference imaging techniques in galaxies such as M31. I don't know the answer. For the upcoming NGC6853/M27 paper (not extragalactic, but crowded), we are publishing small (30arcsec) finder charts to identify the variables, which could be included in an on-line catalog. Arne
