Two of the images obtained by Stan Walker to obtain the first ever
observed superhump of AB Nor have been kindly measured by Arne Henden
to provide outburst astrometry, as follows:
Image 1 237.31452 -43.08024 15:49:15.48 -43:04:48.9 +/- 0.2 arcsec
Image 2 237.31448 -43.08012 15:49:15.47 -43:04:48.4 +/- 0.2 arcsec
This position corrresponds to a faint image of about magnitude 20-21
on the DSS images. The object is best seen, slightly above quiescent
magnitude at about 19p, on the SERC-J plate of 3 June 1975 as the
northermost star of a small triangle of three stars, all of which
seem to be embedded in a faint nebulosity of about 10 arcsec
diameter.
