I was very happy to see the cooperation between sites
on observing QY Per, and the use of VSNET to coordinate
observations. Coordination of efforts is one of the
new tools available to both amateurs and professionals,
and is necessary to get complete light curves and remove
aliasing. I hope more of it occurs in the future!
You also are improving your photometric accuracy.
However, most amateurs are still using unfiltered
CCDs. This may be to get the most photons, but limits
the ability to combine datasets. I'd really, really
like to see the active observatories pick a common
filter for the coordinated campaigns.
However, the current results are impressive. Keep
up the good work!
